Eric Krumm is a professional photographer located near Athens, Georgia, where he lives with his wife Missy, whom he married in 1997, along with their children Isaac and Caitlynn. Isaac loves skateboarding and has played in three All-Star baseball tournaments as a catcher. Caitlynn's favorite things include Play-doh, little stuffed animals and coloring. Missy is a nurse in Athens who enjoys naps, baking and cutting the grass. Though photography has always been part of Eric's life, it has not always been a serious interest. In 2001 Eric bought his first professional quality film camera, a Canon 35mm SLR, and began making images of some of the many interesting people, places and things in Georgia. The local library hosted an exhibition of some of this early work while framed prints were on display in many local businesses and homes and for sale in local galleries. Being raised in the active folk and contemporary Art community of Athens' neighboring city of Watkinsville, visual communication was subtly intertwined into Eric's worldview. Preferring a non-academic study of Art and naturally inquisitive, his time in college was spent studying Science while time away from class was spent learning about graphic design from Artists. Eventually the camera put everything into perspective. Eric's work has been published in local and regional publications including Athena Magazine and featured in the internationally published magazine "design". In addition to being recognized in industry who's who listings for many years Eric also created the first Portrait Photography course and curriculum offered at UGA's Continuing Education Center. Perhaps most importantly, you can see many of Eric's favorite images in homes from the west coast to the east coast and in model portfolios around the world.
